'Tree by the Brook' is an intimate view of a forest scene with a babbling brook next to a lone redwood tree. Dusky greens, mauves and rust tones predominate. The mood is quiet and reflective as the woods embrace you. I painted this scene before as an 8x10 and thought it would be neat to do it larger.
