I've painted this scene before, once as a 12x18 and then later as 12x12 now I've gone small at 3½x3½ . I'm attracted to the light hitting the area just under the main tree. Gold, warm and cool greens and rust color this country scene.

Ah, the South of France... Went there in 2012 and it was really beautiful. Funny enough, much of the countryside reminded me of California (where I from, originally). This scene features an old road winding around a bend. The colors are of late summer, ochres, tans, warm greys and earthy greens.

I've been blogging since I started painting back in 2008, Thought it might be a good time to switch to the built-in Squarespace blog again. Bloggers getting sort of long in the tooth.

I've been blogging since I started painting back in 2008, Thought it might be a good time to switch to the built-in Squarespace blog again. Blogger is getting sort of long in the tooth.
I will at be sharing high rez pics of the images from my painting demos here. I may get back into essays as well. We'll see.
Well, I was sharing a massive demo here and on YouTube publicly but I'm not sure it's accomplishing what I want to do with my channel. If you want to see it, it's still being made available to my mailing list subscribers.
